Class Experience

Help your learner beat the summer slide! Upcoming kindergarteners to rising 5th graders are welcome to join me this summer in my 1 on 1 Summer Readers class. We will meet once a week throughout the summer to strengthen and maintain a solid grasp on reading and reading comprehension. For those parents who would prefer a more frequent class than once a week, you have the option to book more than one class time. These classes will run for four weeks before the July 4th holiday and then another...

I provide a summer reading log for learners to complete over the summer.

I monitor progress using the Guided Reading levels A-Z. I also provide feedback after each class to give helpful reading tips to try outside of class time.

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

I will be using guided reading passages from Anne Gardner's Reading Resources. Used by permission.
