In this 1-on-1 reading tutoring session, your student will focus on improving their reading skills. Your student will practice reading skills that they have struggled with. These sessions will be fun and engaging!

US Grade Kindergarten - 5
During this session, your student will practice improving reading skills, blends, digraphs, writing sentences and multi-syllable words. In the beginning of each session, I will explain what skills we will practice. Then , I will teach the skill. Afterwards, the student and I will practice the skill together. Lastly, the student will show me how to complete the skill independently. I am a very patient student and nurturing teacher and I can't wait to help your child improve their reading skills!
Learning Goals
Students will be able identifying vowel and letter sounds.Students will be able to identify short and long vowel words.

Hi! My name is Jameela Fullwood and I’m very passionate about teaching reading. I have taught in various environments such as Montessori, public school and private school settings. I have taught elementary students and I have been a reading specialist for several years. I have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement and I have earned a Reading endorsement. I believe that when a student learns to read, the trajectory of their life completely changes. As a result, they can read and learn to be anything they want! My goal is to teach students to become independent readers and learners as they participate in my interactive and engaging classes.
