In each session, we will read 1-2 short stories or passages together and then answer reading comprehension questions. 

Students will compose their own writing sentences using vocabulary words in the text.  In my experience, it is crucial for them to do (writing sentences) for the learning to stick.

The texts will be inspiring.  The class will be dynamic. The teaching style will use quizzes, games, technology and some of my own built material.  

We will read stories of heroes in science, sports, history, civil rights, etc..... to increase their culture.  Some small discussion will also be conducted in class.

They practice reading and comprehension with true and inspiring with stories like:
🟦850 million dollars have been raised for cancer research under the name of Terry Fox.
🟦The first chocolate house from 1647 still exist today in London.
🟦Marie Curie found radium.  Her world-changing discovery gave her a fatal cancer as well.

The will improve on:
🟨 Reading fluency
🟦 Vocabulary words
🟨Reading comprehension
🟦English writing 

This english tutoring is for high school-aged students who need extra reading and writing practice to understand fiction and non-fiction texts better.

You may book as many sessions according to your budget, your calendar and your teenager's needs. I recommend once a week with a minimum of 6 sessions.  

However, if you want your child to reach a better desired level earlier, twice a week would be a good idea.
