After each lesson, you will receive personal feedback from the teacher. I will recommend useful websites, worksheets, videos, etc. based the needs and interests of the learners. I will also provide a brief summary of what reading skills we worked on, what we read, vocabulary to practice, suggestions for improvement, etc.Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 7
In this 1-on-1 ongoing class, students receive individualized reading instruction from a licensed reading specialist. During the first lesson, I will assess the reading level of the student. We will also discuss reading goals, student interests, learning goals, and what the leaner hopes to get out of each session. Each week we will meet for 55 minutes. During class, we will focus on the learning goals of the students. These could include the following: boosting reading confidence, improving phonics and fluency, boosting reading comprehension, vocabulary building, homework help for reading, etc. **Sample Class Agenda** Greeting and Warm-Up (5 minutes) Pre-Teach Key Vocabulary Terms and Preview Text (10 minutes) Read and Discuss a Text (10 minutes) Answer Reading Comprehension Questions (15 minutes) (focus on citing textual evidence, finding the main idea, identifying the theme) Vocabulary Building (10 min) (go over unfamiliar words and use context clues to help determine the meaning) Assign Optional Homework and Closing (5 minutes) This is a 1-on-1 class, so the structure can be set up based on the needs and interests of the student. Learning Goals
Students will improve reading skills based on personal need, such as boosting reading comprehension, increasing reading confidence, vocabulary building, improving phonics and fluency, homework help for reading, etc. The class will be designed to offer personalized reading instruction based on student needs and interests.

Learning Needs
My teaching experience includes working with diverse populations of students with unique learning needs, including ADHD, dyslexia, and Autism. As a teacher, my job demands adapting the curriculum to meet a wide variety of student needs.
