US Grade Kindergarten - 6
This is a 1:1 tutoring class for reading with a certified reading specialist with over 30 years of experience teaching students to read. Students will meet for one half hour, twice a week. Many students I have worked with find reading hard. They only see what they can't do as readers. However, every child I have worked with has had strengths as a learner that they don't realize they have! I believe in building on your child's strengths and filling any gaps in their learning to make reading...
Homework Offered
Reading outside of class is strongly encouraged. The more practice your child has, the faster they will progress.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will take notes during our sessions together and administer informal reading assessments as needed. I will provide written feedback to you monthly.Grades Offered
Passages from Reading A-Z, Newela, and Pioneer Valley will be used for instruction. I will provide these texts. Supplies needed include a pencil and a piece of paper. Students in kindergarten or 1st grade will need a small whiteboard (approximately $9.99 for a pack of 6) and a whiteboard marker and eraser (approximately $8.99 for 4 markers and an eraser)

Passages from Reading A-Z and Pioneer Valley will be used for instruction. Your child will not need an account to access the passages. Parental permission is needed to use Kahoot and Nearpod in class. Kahoot nor Nearpod requires you to have an account. No account is needed to use Google Drive, Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Jamboard, or Google Forms.
