Homework
1-2 hours per week. Each week the student is expected to practice the concepts we learned in class, as that is what is required to see progress. The proper amount of practice time we strive for is 30 minutes a day.Assessment
Each lesson I look for specific signs of improvement like, how long a new assignment takes to complete, complete understanding and memorization of chords and scales, and of course I always recommend contacting me to update you on the progress being made.Class Experience
Each week we will meet 1 on 1 for 30 minutes, covering concepts based on skill level including proper hand technique, music reading, chords, and scales. My lessons will move at the pace of my students, learning not only what they need to know but also what they want to know. My style of teaching is designed to guide you to every next level of playing. This will be a fun and engaging class that all level of players can enjoy, whether we are covering jazz and blues concepts or understanding how songs are made and put together.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Associate's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Musicians Institute
I teach beginner to advanced lessons for Electric and Acoustic guitar, Bass guitar, and Ukulele. In my classes I can cover a variety of different styles including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Pop, Classical, and more. I also teach music reading and music theory on these instruments as well. I have an Associate degree from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood California and have played in numerous bands. I have enjoyed over 10 years of teaching and helping others achieve their goals. I believe in everyone's ability to play their instrument and have fun while doing so. I want my students to find their passion for music through my lessons the same way i did from my teachers.
