Beginner Level
Welcome to "1-on-1 Phonics, Reading & Math Mastery (K-2) with M.Ed Reading Specialist." In this individualized tutoring experience, your child will receive targeted support in Phonics, Reading, and Math, delivered by an experienced educator with a specialization in reading and students with disabilities.

What will be taught?

Phonics: Your child will master foundational phonics skills, building a strong foundation
   for reading.

Reading: We'll focus on decoding, fluency, comprehension strategies (inferences, main
idea, summary, text evidence support), and test preparation.

Math: Basic math concepts, such as Fluency, Addition/Subtraction, Number Sense,
Geometry, Measurement & Data, will be reinforced as needed.

Class Experience:

Your child's learning journey will be personalized to their unique needs and learning style. One-on-one sessions allow students time to practice reading/math skills and receive immediate corrective feedback. These two practices are crucial for struggling learners.
Frequency is also important, so we meet at minimum three times per week. Here's what you can expect:

How is your class structured?

Each session follows a personalized "I Do, We Do, You Do" format, allowing flexibility based on the student's learning style. This class meets 3x per week.

Sample class structure:
1. Oral Phoneme Warm-up: We start with phonics practice to boost foundational skills.
2. Scaffolded Practice: Your child receives guided instruction, tailored to their needs.
3. Reading Passage: Your child chooses a reading passage, where they apply what they've learned.

• All Tutoring sessions begin with an Initial Assessment.
• No-shows or last-minute cancellations will not be offered a make-up session or refunded.
