In this private one-on-one math class, young learners will learn about a new math concept or topic each lesson based on the United Kingdom's National Curriculum for Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7); Lower Key Stage 2 (ages 7-9); or Upper Key Stage 2 (ages 9-11). I am a UK qualified Primary School teacher with seven years experience in total and one and a half years teaching online with Outschool. I gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by completing a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) in Primary Education with a Specialism in Mathematics, with merit. I am passionate about young children being given the opportunity to explore and have fun with concrete objects to build a strong mathematical foundation.

If completed work is submitted to the classroom I will mark it and provide feedback.

Note paper, writing pen or pencil, coloured pens/pencils on occasion, ruler and eraser. Small objects to count with e.g. dried pasta shapes, plastic building blocks, cereal pieces or math link cubes. Some topics may require additional equipment such as modelling dough or split-pins.
No parental accounts will be required to access any of the class content used during class (I have subscriptions and accounts to Twinkl and ict games) or after class where links are given for learners to access further independent learning opportunities such as games and videos with YouTube, Topmarks and ict games.
YouTube or Kids Youtube will be used on occasion for video content and songs. Interactive maths games are from BBC, Topmarks, ict games and Twinkl.
