In this one-time class, I can provide one-on-one tutoring pertaining to any math skills and concepts students are expected to learn in grades 3-5. I can focus on specific content that might require remediation, fill in any gaps, give additional practice, or offer enrichment and extension. I am a National Board Certified elementary school teacher, and I have taught math every year of my 28-year career. I have been thoroughly trained in the Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) approach to mathematics. It's very important to me that my students make sense of their mathematics, develop strong conceptual understanding, build a solid foundation of skills, enjoy their math, gain confidence, and find the subject interesting, engaging, and meaningful.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
