I understand that math is not everyone's favorite subject. I offer 1 on 1 tutoring sessions that help to take stress off when it comes to learning math. Whether its homework or trying to understand key concepts in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 or Geometry, I'm here to help make math more understandable. My background includes teaching high school, specifically these subjects. I bring the concepts of mathematics to a real level for students to understand.

It helps if material the student is working on ahead of time. This allows me to utilize our tutoring sessions efficiently and effectively.

If you're in a pinch, availability is requested but not bookable - please message me a time line that work for you! I understand it is not easy to plan for help - sometimes you need help immediately

Please note that the times are in Central Time Zone. Thank you

Welcome! My name is Sarah and I have a huge passion for teaching and learning. For the last 5 years I was teaching math and science at an alternative high school. I've taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology and Human Anatomy and Physiology. Teaching at an alternative school taught me many things on how to teach students with various learning disabilities. I've also taught at the middle school level, subjects in Math, Science, Social Studies and English. I've also been a college professor for the last 14 years teaching Sociology, Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, Emergency Management and Emergency Medical Services. I like to fuse the analytical components with a creative flair together. Even math can be creative, just have to look at it from a different angle (geometry joke).

My Education Background includes:
B.S in Sociology emphasis in Criminal Justice, Forensic Science and Anthropology
M.S in Education emphasis in Teaching and Learning
M.S in Homeland Security and Emergency Management
M.A in Secondary Education with a Teaching Licensure in Math and Science
and a few others

I worked in Law Enforcement for almost 13 years where I worked at a forensic science lab and field tech. I'm currently a volunteer firefighter and Advance EMT for my local community. When I'm not teaching and learning or playing Wonder Woman I like to create beautiful artwork. I travel as much and often as I can. I do speak Italian, French and Spanish fluently.

I'm excited to meet you and share my passions and experiences with you to help you excel in school!
