I have a Masters in Cross-Categorical Special Education with an emphasis in high-incidence needs and a Bachelor of Psychology with specific courses in Motivation and Emotion, Physiological Psychology, and Principals and Learning, which guide my teachings and tools for students and adults with ADHD.

I have over 11 years in the standard classroom setting (K-12) and over 2 years ESL online teaching. I have been honored to be a special education director, dean of students and work as a trainer of other district staff at the state department level.

Areas of specialty: Special education [Autism-Asperger (social & communication), ADHD, and SLD], Art - (fine art classes, studio art & art therapy), Fashion design (sewing technique & couture training). I will be offering a range of classes in these areas for K-12 and updating often so be sure to check back for new courses.

You can learn more about me please see the teacher bio below. Thank you for taking this course.
Homework prior to the class beginning will be to have all the requested supplies ready and next to the student at the start of class. This will be the first lesson on organization, to show the importance of preparation.

Following the class there will be learner specific homework, directly related to the student schedule and journal completed. Learners will continue to use the note, calendar, and organizational skills learned to set up their week to support their thought patterns. Implementation is key to learning any new skill.
Setting ourselves up for success – supplies you will need throughout these courses: Journal (can be a bound journal or notebook) we will create Bullet Journals as part or organization and calendaring Sticky Notes / Post-it notes (multiple colors) Highlighters (multiple colors)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per class, and maybe some time outside of class.
