Class Experience
I am a certified elementary K-6 and special education Pre-K-8 teacher. I have been teaching reading, math, science, and history for over 10 years. Over the past 6 years, I taught 5th and 6th grade special education students, while providing 1-on-1 tutoring support in all core subjects (reading, math, science, history). Prior to that, I substitute taught and tutored in grades K-12.
A calculator and scratch paper/pencil are recommended for math tutoring!
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Personal teacher created resources (i.e. PowerPoints, practice worksheets) may be used based on the requests for assistance during tutoring. We may also use videos from sources such as Khan Academy, and activities from sources such as IXL to assist in tackling math topics.
