This ongoing tutorial is for anyone who wants to work one-on-one with an award-winning novelist with a passion for literature that exists at the intersection of art and activism. This course is designed to help your student workshop a single creative piece. As an award-winning novelist with a PhD in comparative literature, I have professional experience with both reading and writing fiction. I've taught literature, culture, and writing courses in a university setting, which has helped me develop my skills in taking my expertise and putting it in terms that are accessible to students.
Homework Offered
Students should submit a draft of their work three days prior to our first meeting, in order to allow me time to review the piece and prepare my feedback. During our time together, we will create a plan for the work that should be completed before our next meeting, customized to the needs of the student and the piece.0 hours per week outside of class
