Beginner - Advanced Level
Art can be a daunting subject for many. Often, it seems like there are skills or styles that are unable to be conquered, but in reality, it just takes some guidance to get the hang of them. That is the ultimate goal for these 1-on-1 art lessons. Young artists at any skill level will be given the opportunity to work on the art skills that they feel they need help with. Most art disciplines are suitable for the 30-minute format, including (but not limited to): - Dry media (pencils, colored pencils, charcoal) - Digital art - Photography (general skills, digital skills) - Watercolor painting - Collage - Style or genre exploration - Cartooning (anime, traditional, comic, etc.) Should a learner come to class without a specific goal in mind, we can explore different mediums and styles, and put together a project together. If they are in the middle of a piece and need feedback on technique or general critique, we can cover what art they've made and how to reach the goal they have in mind. Students looking to improve their overall art skills will be provided with a curriculum and action plan, set over a specific number of meetings. If there are any questions about what can be covered in a 30-minute session, please reach out and we can discuss the best plan for moving forward!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their overall art skills, based on their specific goals or on areas where they need work. A personalized curriculum can also be provided for multiple sessions by request.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Art is a lifelong passion, and my journey with art started in middle school. I have worked in many different media, but my favorites are sketching/drawing, linocut, watercolor, and photography. I’ve been keeping sketchbooks for nearly 20 years, and they’ve helped me document my journey with art, as well as important milestones in my life. I want to help learners find their artistic passion and help them do the same.
Professionally, my photographs have been featured in news publications, and I have made linocut printing blocks for skate companies. I have been commissioned to create small watercolor pieces for private buyers, as well.
