This 1:1 veterinarian science and animal course is customizable and allows student/parent teams total control over what's learned in class about vertebrate animals like mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and fish.

This parent-requested, one-on-one tutoring course is customizable for each child. Parents and learners can work with Kaitlyn (the teacher, Bachelor of Animal Science and veterinary technician) to put together curriculum for their child. Each 35 minute course is $40. I am an Animal Scientist after graduating NC State in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science Pre-Vet with a minor and additional concentrations. I worked in veterinary medicine and animal science in many veterinary clinics and at NC State ranging from 2004-2014 when I moved into education of animal species. I am prepared for this course.

Most students take notes; a notebook and pen would be helpful. There may be some printables, depending on the topics you and your learner choose to receive, included to help students understand and retain the material. These materials are created by myself specifically for your child in this class.
There is no inappropriate content in this class. If students are interested in reproductive questions, I will always answer in professional, age-appropriate terminology with the learner and refer any learners with intercourse questions to parents. I do not currently teach any reproductive courses on Outschool although I am comfortable with the knowledge and teaching of the material. Aside from animal reproduction, things of interest to be discussed may be pee, poop, farts/flatulency, vomit, and blood. I keep images age appropriate so there is no extremely gorey surgeries or animal abuse shown in this classroom.
The American-VMA, Canadian-VMA, and Federation of Asian Veterinary Medicine, and the Australian Veterinary Medical Associations are used to answer most questions as they are three large governing bodies of veterinary knowledge. Most knowledge I have is from time I've spent in the field of veterinary medicine or managing horse farms.
