Class experience
In this live class we will explore the ancient buried city of çAtalhÖYÜK located in modern day Turkey. We will engage in a lecture/discussion time that includes pictures and videos. There will be discussion questions and optional activities in the form of projects, web based games and reading material provided after the lecture time for learners to dive deeper into the presented information. I am a lover of history, the more obscure the better. This class explores ancient ruins that are not widely known about. Little known locations fascinate me and I am excited to share my passion for history with those that engage with me.
Students will need to access Zoom, a computer, internet access and materials for projects as needed. Project materials will be based on projects chosen by students. They will have the freedom to choose what materials they would like to use.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be looking at pictures of ancient ruins & civilizations. These civilizations left statues and artwork behind and some show bodies in the naked form. Also, we discuss the burial process, showing pictures of skeletal remains.
