We will learn and practice adding and subtracting numbers using both concrete objects and mental math strategies. Students will gain a strong understanding of the meaning of digits and symbols necessary for completing simple addition and subtraction equations, and they will learn how to use manipulatives to add numbers. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
For the Kahoot game, the teacher will share her screen so students can see the questions. Students will need to play on a computer or cell phone. Once the teacher has opened the game, students will receive a code to join. Students will need to enter their name and then they will be able to begin solving equations.
