US Grade 1 - 5
PLEASE CONTACT ME THROUGH OUTSCHOOL COMMUNICATION TO SET UP A PRIVATE SESSION TIME. I'll provide tutoring assistance in any math content area from 1st grade to 5th grade. Many times students need additional support with the steps involved in calculating a math problem, in making connections across content areas and having a teacher point out what skills a student already knows to help them be successful with a new math skill, or they may just need to be shown a different method that is more manageable or makes sense to be successful and confident. I have seen many common misconceptions students have across a variety of math topics. My goal is to help your child either learn a new skill, or help them work through a challenging concept by providing support, strategies, practice, and encouragement. Some common examples of math support may be (but not limited to): Addition and Subtraction with Regrouping Place Value Balancing equations Word Problems Fractions All operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Area and Perimeter Geometry Decimals One hour is $45.
Learning Goals
My goal is for students to have a solid understanding of how to perform a math skill using efficient, age appropriate strategies that are meaningful to them and their learning style.
