Class Experience

In reading, students will improve on reading fluently and reading comprehension skills. We will work on learning strategies for how to figure out words we may not know. We will work on reading skills such as: cause and effect, author's purpose, story structure, compare and contrast, and many more of those foundational skills that are essential for reading.

In math, we will work on many different math topics. This includes place value, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and much more!

In writing, depending on the age, we will work toward writing complete sentences. This includes learning the different parts to writing a sentence. We will work on brainstorming, outlining, revising, and creating a final draft of a paragraph/essay.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
