I have two master's degrees in education, and a bachelor's in elementary education, with a minor in early childhood education. I continue to develop professionally by taking professional developmental classes. This past year I focused my studies on the science of reading.
Writing Materials: alphabet tiles, whiteboard and marker, paper and Flair pens or colored pens Teacher handouts as provided.
Teacher observations during class.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
External resources are used to enhance the lesson but are not necessary. Please let me know if you prefer classes that do not use any of the external resources and the lesson can be adapted. Nearpod and Kahoot! can be used during the lesson for review games. I like to use Canva or Google to provide visuals for learners, but these are optional. Learners do not need to have personal accounts or give personal information to use these resources.
Some primary sources may be used in lessons depending on the needs of the learner. For example, learners studying the American Revolution or World War I may read excerpts from historic documents.
