Beginner - Intermediate Level
This is a highly interactive class. I will reach out prior to the class to see where students need help. I will then teach that class with the child's needs in mind. As the class progresses, I will conduct further testing to see what gaps are still present. In class 1, I will begin class with a spiral review of the previous class. Then we will jump into the topic of the day. We will work on phonological awareness, then making words, followed by reading words. Next we will read a short...
Students will improve their understanding of phonics and become more fluent readers. They will gain confidence and the love of reading!
I have taught for nine years as an elementary teacher. I have taught first grade for seven years and helped countless number of children learn to read and fill any gaps in their reading journey. I help learners gain confidence and a love for reading.
Homework Offered
Class 1 will have a short passage with an illustration to ensure comprehension. Class 2 will have an I Spy or Find it page depending on level. These should take no longer than 15 minutes.0 hours per week outside of class

Through an ELFAC test that can be given in parts as the sessions progress.Grades Offered
