1-1 Reading Assessment

Your child's literacy skills will be assessed in a low-pressure way in this one-time assessment course. As a teacher of 10 years with Orton-Gillingham phonics training, I know the importance of early intervention for struggling readers. This affordable course allows you to see your child's strengths and struggles so we can work together to make a plan that works for them. 

     Some of the assessment areas will be sight words (the, off, on, is, etc.), letter names and sounds, blends, CVC words (cat, dog, hen, pig, mat, etc.), nonsense words (nes, hez, fod, etc.), silent e words (make, rake, tape, rope, ripe, etc.) and simple sentences. I will assess for accuracy and fluency. 
  
     After class is completed, you will receive a full assessment report as well as recommended next steps for your child. These will be personalized and customized to help your child reach their reading goals. I love making reading fun and exciting.
