This class is specifically designed to allow families to reserve 1-1 tutoring for siblings. The expectation is that only ONE student will attend class although MULTIPLE students are enrolled. This allows more flexibility and last minute changes for which student needs the tutoring that day. The course content will depend on what individual needs are. This is a tutoring style class. Students may send ahead or bring their questions from classwork, graded assessments, or homework. I will provide additional resources and materials as needed to supplement learning. Examples of tutoring topics: Algebra 1: Solving equations, graphing linear functions, factoring, solving quadratics, graphing quadratics, understanding exponential functions Geometry: Writing paragraph or two-column proofs, congruent triangle proofs, solving lines and angles, area and volume Algebra 2: Solving and graphing rational functions, logarithms, trigonometry Calculus: Derivative rules, applications of derivatives, integrals, volume of rotational figures This is not a class designed to complete tests and/or homework for the student. For work that will earn students a grade the teacher will provide help, but the student must do the solving.
Learning Goals
Students will receive guided instruction and additional practice in a variety of math concepts.

I teach high school level math classes from Algebra I through Calculus and including Statistics, Trigonometry, and Geometry. I taught high school for 9 years and I now write online curriculum while teaching night classes at my local community college. I believe good instruction builds off of what students already know and think and should be personalized to student needs.
