Class Experience
US Grade 1 - 8
I'm an academic interventionist and have been supporting students and families with this work for almost 7 years. My goal is to help students apply the best strategy to problem-solving for themselves. The best way to increase confidence in math is to practice strategies that work best for you! This year my goal is to help students improve their fact fluency and speed. This course is student-paced. I assess the student's academic needs and make a plan with the child and family. I then adapt a learning plan to help the child improve in that subject matter over time. My methods include play-based, rote learning, traditional method, core knowledge, common core methods, visual and kinesthetic examples, word problems, and real-life application.
