In this one-on-one session, students can get help with their High School Algebra 1&2. If they are also enrolled in college, they can get help with their College Algebra class. I teach/tutor the way I learn: I like to see a step-by-step process with visual aids to better understand what is happening in the problem. Tutoring and Homework help
I have been a high school teacher and college professor, as well as a high school and college tutor. Because of this, I know what has been taught in the previous courses to the current class the student is taking, as well as know what will be needed in future classes. As a tutor, I have a better understanding of the misunderstandings the student might take from the classroom lesson and the frustration they sometimes feel. A positive one-on-one learning environment can make all the difference.
Student is encouraged to send the topic and/or questions a day before the session. If getting ready for a test, bring the review and/or topics that will be covered on the test. If you are allowed to use a calculator, make sure you have it near you. Don't forget pencil and paper.
