Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
I absolutely love the different social sciences: history, anthropology, sociology... I also thoroughly enjoy watching and learning about current events with my children to facilitate deeper discussions and understandings of the world around us.
No materials are needed for this class other than an open mind, the ability to listen, and the willingness to participate in discussions in a productive and respectful manner.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Current events are unpredictable and ever-changing. Although the news source utilized within this class is geared toward this age group, it is important to note that some content may be a preteen/teen version of more controversial topics. Despite this, all topics will be discussed to explore all viewpoints and provide as little bias as possible.
