In this class, we will go over some of the major body systems which will include: the skeletal system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system, the muscular system, and the digestive system.
Class experience
US Grade 2 - 5
This introductory class will go over five of the main body systems (the skeletal system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system, the nervous system, and the digestive system). A life-size anatomical figure (Mr. Bob) will be used in many of the classes as an extra visual guide for the learners. Anthony has an Honours Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology with minors in Nutritional Science and Neuroscience. He is so excited to share his love of science and the body systems with your learner!
Homework Offered
Each week, learners will complete a quiz at the end of each lesson to ensure every child is on track with the material. In addition to weekly quizzes, there will be weekly activities and experiments (such as recreating the skeletal system out of pasta) that are designed to supplement learners’ knowledge of each of the systems.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

The following materials will be needed: - red and blue yarn - a variety of dry pasta - 2 straws - 3 Ziploc/sandwich bags - playdough or plasticine (preferably different colors) - pantyhose (that can be cut) - one cookie (like Arrowroot) - a banana or slice of bread - bowl - water - orange juice - funnel (optional) - yogurt (optional)
