FAQ Outschool Filter and Search

How to search and filter classes

Outschool how to filter

Start by filtering for a class that meets your specific needs and schedule or by browsing our popular classes.

Get the details

Each class page includes information on the class, educator, and parent reviews. You can also learn more about each teacher on their profile page. Or get teacher and class recommendations from Outschool families.

Have questions?

Message teachers before you enroll. You can clarify content, see if they have additional schedule options, or can accommodate specific needs.

After you enroll

You’ll get an email confirmation, class reminders, and a private Zoom link to join once the class time comes around.

What to do if the schedule options don’t work for you

If you're interested in a class that doesn't fit your schedule, you can use the "Request Another Time" button below the current options for the class.

Then you can reach out to the teacher directly and let them know the dates and times that work for you. Teachers do their best to accommodate requests as long as it works for their schedule.

How to learn more about the teacher and the class

The class page briefly overviews the teacher, what your kid will learn, and class reviews from parents.

To get to know the instructor, including their background and style, and see other classes they teach, check out their profile page by clicking their name or photo. Some even have an intro video you can watch.

While we vet class content, if you want to get the details, the best person to ask is the instructor. Click the 'Ask a Question button.’ That way, you can message them directly and get your questions answered.

How to message a teacher

To get in touch, go to the class details page, scroll down to the teacher section, and click the 'Ask a Question button.'

Outschool class pricing

Outschool how does pricing work?

The cost of each class varies depending on the length and format, but most are around $15 per session.

We also don’t require a subscription or contract. You can choose one-time classes or ongoing classes, etc., but there is no ‘membership’ fee.

Outschool cancelation policy

For cancelation time-frame requirements, check out our refund policy. For example, if you’re subscribed to an ongoing class you can also cancel your subscription at any time.

Payments for subscription classes are charged each Sunday, so you'll need to stop your subscription before Sunday to make sure you aren't charged for the upcoming week. Here's how to unsubscribe.

Class experience

Outschool class experience

Outschool invites all educators with expertise and experience to teach on Outschool. Official accreditation isn't required, and educators don't have to follow a set curriculum.

This freedom empowers teachers to share what they're passionate about and gives kids the opportunity to learn cool things they can't find anywhere else.

Another thing that makes Outschool unique is the courses are live, not pre-recorded (except for flex classes), so kids can ask questions and get real-time feedback
