When I first wanted to play an RPG (D&D Basic back in... well a long time ago) I did not have anyone to teach me and had only one player (thanks mom). I had to be the GM or Game Master or there would not have been a game. Many decades later and RPGs are becoming as popular as they ever have and new people want to play them. The problem of course is that (in most cases), someone has to run them and that someone might be you. Do not fret, being a GM is absolutely fun and rewarding. It let's you be creative while also playing in the game. Together, we will learn the basics of running a game, how to handle rules situations, and how to spotlight the other players. These are just some of the basics but they should get you ready to play with friends or even run games for strangers at the local game days and conventions. There will be some homework, but it will be fun I promise. We will work on the basics and students will be evaluated as we progress through the class. The students will be exposed to different kinds of RPGs and how running each one may be a bit different.
