In this ongoing class we will meet once a week for an hour and will explore and design inspired by the silhouette of the week.
Class experience
Do you like Project Runway or Making the Cut or Next in Fashion? I love these shows!!! So I have come up with a fun fashion design class; we will explore four different silhouettes and then you will create a design using that silhouette. We will meet once a week for an hour class. I will define what a silhouette is. I will give plenty of examples so the students will have a good understanding of the silhouette of the week. The students will be learning how volume or the lack of it changes a design. They will learn about how design effects the body type. They will also learn about the practicality of the garment; it needs to be wearable. They will be expanding their creative design skills, color skills and drawing skills.
Paper, pencil, eraser and colored pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
