In this Animal Science class, your child will learn many weird and wacky facts about numerous creatures from all around the world! For example, did you know that butterflies fart? I bet you didn't know that Ostriches actually NEVER hide their heads in the ground, am I right? Cartoons have tricked us all! I am here to teach your child the facts, and bust the myths around some of the world's weirdest animal behavior. This class incorporates tons of animal science, biology and weird and whacky facts that will keep your kids wanting more! After class, your child can play a Kahoot! game to put their knowledge to the test! My unique style of teaching is energetic, enthusiastic, and a little bit silly. This approach will help your child learn and retain the information we will be discussing throughout the class! After class, your child will have loads of new knowledge to teach you! Get ready to hear some weird animal facts you never knew before! I can't wait to meet your child! Ms. Marie:)
Learning Goals
Learners will become informed about many weird animal behaviors, and will understand the reasons behind these behaviors. As strange as an animal behavior may seem, it always serves a purpose, and it is usually essential to their very survival!
Your child will be able to teach YOU about what they have learned, and will have a number of myth busters to try out on you as well!

Master's Degree from University of Prince Edward Island
Do you have an animal lover in your life? Or perhaps a future zoologist, veterinarian, or conservation minded young learner? Then you've come to the right spot!
My name is Marie, and as an Animal Science teacher, I would love to teach your child all about the amazing animals in this world!
I have taught over 20,000 students on Outschool, and I have 18 years of experience teaching at all levels.
I believe in eliciting as much student output as possible. Learners are encouraged to ask questions (and to share knowledge on each topic) as we learn together.
When I am not playing an instrument, I enjoy watching every nature show in existence alongside my children, learning as much as I can about the weird animals in the world so that I can bring it to the classroom and share it with your child!
I look forward to meeting your learner in class!
Ms. Marie
