Advanced Level
This is a course for students who have reached the advance level chess and are looking at participating in tournaments. During this course the teachers will help students to polish their game, work on their strategies and learn from the famous games ever played in chess. We will learn through the Grandmasters on their openings, critical point in their famous games and analyse the games through every move. The strategies and lesson covered during the lessons through the twenty weeks course, in no specific order are : Learn from Grandmaster's games Observing games of famous Grandmasters of all times like Bobby Fischer , Gary Kasparov and many more the students will learn on the openings , strategies to develop and understanding the defence for the openings and end games. They will observe on : Openings from White side Openings from Black side Some of the openings we would observe are: Ruy Lopez Sicilian defense Queen's Gambit Caro- Kann defense English Opening Strategic ideas of the Middlegame Seven Imbalances in chess to asses any situation Learners will also observe the End Games and specifically learn about : King and Pawn Endings Rook and Pawn Endings: Philidor's and Lucena's Positions Two Bishops Checkmate Students will also observe from current Top Ranked Grandmasters games like Magnus Carlsen, Fabiano Caruana and more Students will also spend time with the teacher to go through live tournaments and work on strategies and game analysis Students will focus on : Improving their knowledge of dynamics and tension in chess. Learn how to exploit exchanges. Improve on prophylactic thinking and defense Relate structures and plans. Master the exchange sacrifice Overprotection Decode Protecting Overprotection Defensive Thinking When Attacking This is a highly interactive class and digital chess boards will be used for discussions. The teachers taking these classes are FIDE rated and will encourage students to learn about upcoming tournaments for participation. Chess is a beautiful game which helps in critical and logical thinking. The students who learn chess develop spatial skills and have shown marked increase in IQ, memory, concentration and problem solving skills. LOW ENROLMENTS AND CLASS CANCELLATION We conduct small group classes and keep a very low minimum threshold (2 kids). If any section receives lower than minimum threshold then the section may be cancelled, and the learner is automatically moved to the next upcoming section.
